Armenak Tokmajyan Receives International Crisis Group’s Giustra Fellowship for Conflict Prevention

October 12, 2016

Former Shattuck Center Fellow Armenak Tokmajyan has recently been awarded the Giustra Fellowship for Conflict Prevention at the International Crisis Group. Based in Istanbul, he will research issues related to Syria and expects to conduct fieldwork in places like eastern Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and European cities where there are large numbers of Syrian refugees.

"My experience working on the Aleppo Project at the Shattuck Center was invaluable," said Tokmajyan. "Working closely with Shattuck Center Director Bob Templer, my writing skills greatly improved. The publications we wrote and publicity we gained for the project were certainly a factor in my selection for the Giustra Fellowship, and I'm grateful for my time at the Aleppo Project."
